Introduction
With a general election looming large, 2010 will prove a challenging year for anyone advising on
tax. One thing we can be sure of is that there will be plenty of changes.
This one-day ICAEW Tax Faculty conference is designed to help advisers get to grips with the
latest changes to the tax system. It will cover this year’s Budget announcements, and also look
at the changes we already know about which are only now coming into effect – such as
pensions tax relief, the 50% tax rate, new penalties and powers. Aimed at both general
practitioners and tax specialists, the conference will help you avoid pitfalls and focus on areas
where effective tax planning can make a real difference to your clients.

Will you need more or less time to service your clients? What will this mean for your practice? What about your processing and filing procedures? And the messages you promote to clients and to prospective clients and referrers? Will you want to make any changes to the way you market your services and your practice?
